The White Lodge

Sandro Pereira

Bio

He is an Argentine visual artist who resides and works in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. He is considered the contemporary artist from Tucumán with the greatest projection at the national level.
Over the years he has worked with different types of genres (engraving, sculpture, object, drawing, painting, performance, photography) and materials (plaster, wire, polyester resin, clay, plasticine, objet trouvé, paper). He has also worked on different types of discourses, although with clear self-referentiality and primarily using the self-portrait genre.
His images are frequently carbon copies of his own body in different circumstances that try to challenge models, fashions, canons and paradigms of society. In much of his work he uses parody about himself, about his own body, using stereotypes of his childhood, pop art and Argentine popular culture.

Statement

His work with photography is linked to the hyperfield. The possibility of affecting the Hyperfield and modifying the focus of its Directionality Factor is based on the experimental discovery of the influences that a subject's brain activity exerts on other subjects. In these experiments we discovered that if two subjects interact preverbally, the one of the two with higher levels of interhemispheric tension modifies the interhemispheric tension of his partner, attracting him towards his own level.
Investigation of dimensions through photography. Break the exposure time of the photograph to distort the dimensions. Influenced by Jacob Grimberg's Hyperfield theory.
