Pinta BAphoto celebrates its 20th anniversary and reaffirms its position as the most influential photography art fair in Latin America. Based in Buenos Aires, it has established itself as a vital space where artists, curators, critics, collectors, and an ever-expanding audience converge. Since its founding in 2005, Pinta BAphoto has advanced the development of photography within the art field, enhancing its value and visibility on an international scale.
The fair's carefully curated program, which has attracted the most prestigious local and international curators, has explored various formats showcasing the diverse possibilities of photography in the modern and contemporary art world. From its Main Section, featuring galleries from around the globe, to specially curated sections like NEXT | Fuera de Foco, Wunderkammer, Artist Tribute, Special Project, and Video Project. Additionally, the Auditorium Program, now called FORO for this edition, has facilitated discussions among prominent guests. The Awards and Acquisitions Program has promoted recognition of various artists and galleries in the region, while the program has been enriched with a prominent editorial sector. In 2024, the new RADAR Section will debut, featuring artists whose works engage with artistic concepts as social phenomena, among other new projects.
