Statement

“PARALLEL RESONANCES”
In my photographic research, I embark on a visual journey that delves into the intricate links between memory, oblivion, and the family archive.
By focusing on the women in my family I open a window through time. This visual dialogue between eras creates a narrative that challenges our perception of time and invites us to explore the continuity of our personal stories. Through each image, I invite a reflection on the way in which time and forgetting shape our perception of memories and how these visual fragments help us build and understand our identity in a process of reconstruction and reinterpretation of memory. However, over time, these threads of memory can come undone, worn out, or even lost completely. I seek to reveal how the archive can fade, just like our memory.
