Fuera de Foco Curator
Fuera de Foco is a sector of solo projects that is thoroughly committed to the exploration of the different procedures, languages and materials especially enabled by the photographic medium’s unique qualities. With the aim of making the work of new generations of artists visible, Fuera de Foco invites four galleries to each present an individual, an installation and an experimental proposal, and combines them to promote a space open for cross-disciplinary dialogue that generates new aesthetic experiences and enriches understanding of the art form.
Bárbara Golubicki (Buenos Aires, 1984) works in art management, curatorship and criticism. She studied art history (UBA) and participated as a curator of the Artists Program of the Torcuato Di Tella University (2017/2018). She coordinated the art spaces of the CCEBA (2011). She carried out actions within the Ministry of Culture of the Nation (2012-2018), public programs of the National Museum of Oriental Art and independent curatorships (in Pasto gallery, Selva Negra, Cultural Center of Spain in Buenos Aires, among others). She wrote for various media, publications and catalogs (Otra Parte Semanal, Actividad de Uso, among others). Since 2019 she works in collections and archive management for artists and collectors.
