Statement

MEMORY AND ARCHIVE
Our goal is the search for a visual journey in which narratives involving an encounter with intimate and unique spaces are created.
Our latest project is an investigation into the archive, the family album and memory.
Every act of memory is a reinvention. It is hard to recall memories as something tangible; oblivion and blurred details are unavoidable.
The power of the image is to understand that it not only unites, but also creates, transforms and recreates our memory, making the invisible visible and evoking memories while fictionalizing the past.
We try to address the issue of memory and oblivion and this allows us to reflect on family, relationships, home and women's roles.
We start out with photography to then delve into other disciplines such as engraving, collage, alternative techniques and ceramics, resulting in a variety of artwork displayed in different media.
