BENJAMIN OSSA-1984
Visual artist lives and works in Santiago de Chile. His work addresses issues of perception between body and space, the study of phenomena and their displacement to installations that appeal to experience using light as a material and work tool.

He has public works in the city of Santiago de Chile and Havana Cuba, his work is in public and private collections in Chile and abroad and has recently been published by the Phaidon publishing house and his book Prime Art's Next Generation.

Statement

My work addresses relational and perception dimensions between bodies and
space through installations and events that stimulate experiences,
using light as a material and work tool. I am attracted to systems
of interaction, thermodynamic, mathematical and temporal principles. My
artistic investigations address the creation of unique experiences through
of phenomena that pass through time and sensory stimuli that activate the
perception, promoting reflection on what happens in the environment. He
Drawing is a constant in my work; slowly, it has become a
laboratory and background of almost all my projects. Another constant is the
cuts, which function at the same time as line and shape, with the property of
be projected in any condition, space or support.
