The four lakes of Parque Tres de Febrero are among its main attractions. Each one draws visitors who come to enjoy the scenery, observe the wildlife, or engage in sports activities along the shores.
Regatas Lake, Rosedal Lake (with its incredible area of paths and flowerbeds containing over 18,000 roses), Planetarium Lake, and Victoria Ocampo Lake were all constructed as part of the landscape design of Parque Tres de Febrero. Although these are artificial lakes, their environments have become home to various animal and plant species, blending seamlessly with nature.
These lakes are inhabited by tarariras, catfish, dientudos, mojarras, green piranhas, rainbow fish, eels, carp, blackhead minnows, and freshwater shrimp. Various birds, such as the carau, grebes, and geese, have also found a home in the city thanks to these environments.
