As part of a new edition of the fair, BAphoto announces Boleslaw Senderowicz as the Tribute Artist 2023. Senderowicz was a pioneer photographer in the local fashion world who worked for years in Editorial Abril’s Claudia magazine. There, he was able to build his own style, characterized by the staging of sophisticated models in urban settings, unusual for this type of productions. Senderowicz was also part of the group La Carpeta de los Diez, along with Annemarie Heinrich, George Friedman and Juan Di Sandro, among other pioneers who were homaged by the fair in previous editions. In that sense, the tribute to Senderowicz traces a continuity in the curatorial policy of the fair, in addition to highlighting one of the most important photographic archives of the printed culture of the 20th century.

Since 2015, Wunderkammer has been the fair’s section dedicated to heritage photography. Its aim is to highlight the work of different agents specialized in recovering and enhancing historical and documentary photographic material.

A sector devoted to the exploration of different procedures, languages and materialities the photographic medium makes possible.
In this way, the curatorial proposal of Fuera de Foco reinforces the purpose of giving visibility to the work of emerging artists and galleries from all over the country, and to serve as a platform where its heterogeneity enables the presentation of the medium's universe of possibilities. Photography as an experimental record of the world, as an exploration of the relationship between memory and archive, or as an intense modulation between intimate gaze and social reality finds a flexible and receptive space to open up to a renewed public.

Pinta BAphoto presents Auditorio, a series of conversations with artists, curators, collectors, gallery owners and museum directors from the local and international scene, who will reflect on different aspects of photography and contemporary art.

The 2023 edition of Pinta BAphoto presents a Solo Project by Argentine photographer Adriana Lestido, a key reference in Latin American photography. The exhibition revolves around the mother-and-daughter theme and the mythical work "Mother and Daughter of Plaza de Mayo", taken by Lestido in 1985.

Hambre de Futuro (Hunger for the Future) presents the exhibition " Sueños" (Dreams), which seeks to make visible the deepest desires and challenges of children with fewer opportunities.
It is part of a Fundación LA NACIÓN's project, that has been traveling around the country for 5 years to understand in first person the reality of the most neglected children: what they play at, what they wish for and how they imagine themselves when they grow up.

For this edition of Pinta BAphoto, Andrés Ramírez Gavira proposes "Sources", a work in which photography is involved with various research strategies including sound and mathematics.

La Paragráfica became one of the key sectors in Pinta BAphoto. The bookstore has had a stand since 2018 at the fair to offer a unique selection of books and photobooks.
Attended by professional booksellers with more than forty years of experience, La Paragráfica is the online Argentine bookstore that exclusively offers art, design and photography books.

Simetría Doméstica is a project by Estefanía Papescu. She is interested in the small investigations, annotations, drawings that an artist or writer may think are unpublishable or that will never leave the domestic sphere, but that are often foundational for those works that finally circulate in the art system or, simply, remain as suspended projects, but are not less poetic for that reason. These are the projects that have priority, the kitchen of artists and writers.

This program proposes an approach to the fair through guided tours. Each visit will explore a selection of works under the photographers' perspective, who will present the traditional and contemporary uses of photography from different approaches.
To this end, a special selection of works will be prioritized to delve into various topics such as: artistic genres in photography, its technical qualities, new materials and media that are part of contemporary photography and the appreciation of the value of those images linked to traditional discourses, but seen from a current approach.
