Ignacio Iasparra was born in the city of May 25, Buenos Aires province, in 1973. He studied photography and contemporary art. Since 1996 he has exhibited his photographs. He has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Argentina and abroad. His works have been published in different contemporary photography catalogs, the BIG Buenos Aires magazine, the books Routes and Paths, New Latin American Photography II, Poetic Photography, Argentine Contemporary Art Artist x Artist, Contemporary Poetics National Fund for the Arts.

Awards and distinctions, 1st Prize Contest National Fund for the Arts 2018; 2nd Prize BA Photo Prize Petrobras 2011; 1st Prize in the 2009 Delloite Foundation Contest; AACA 2005 Photographer of the Year; Mention Klem Prize 2003.

He has participated as a video director in the Danza Video play “My River is Something with Feathers” (Mi río es algo con plumas), along with Verónica Jordan and Viviana Iasparra.

Director of the film Sinuosos y dorados Médanos, together with Guillermo Ueno, Bruno Stecconi, Marianela Portillo and Nicolas Dominguez Bedini.

His work is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (MAMBA), Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA); MACRO Museum of Rosario, Argentina; Statoil Collection, Norway and different private collections.
